David came up to New York City from Tennessee to attend my Train-the-Trainer Workshop in the spring of ‘08, and did a great job in the class. He gave a dual live demo and presentation on Adobe Photoshop, and it was a very effective combination, mentally stimulating for the audience and fun because of David’s natural sense of humor and intuitive sense for choosing engaging visual images. David’s presentation very much succeeded in teaching the class the fundamentals of Photoshop.
Just a few days after the class, David became the first student in his class to pass the written exam toward the Certified Technical Trainer certification. Shortly after that, the digital disc of David’s final presentation for the class was also accepted by Comptia, earning him the full CTT+ certification. And shortly after that, David parlayed his CTT+ certification into the training requirement for his Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certification, which he earned only a couple of weeks later.
But there’s more. On his return from our class, David sent his fellow participants a travelogue essay he put together about his “Big Apple Experience,” which all the students enjoyed, and which helped keep the continuity of the class going into the future, as his classmates all wrote follow-up notes to David. So on top of being a “triple-threat” I would also add writing talent to David’s repertoire.
For all of these reasons, I highly recommend David Shelton as an Adobe consultant, Adobe Instructor, or Project Manager on a Photoshop project. I would also be glad to provide a direct reference for David as well.
